Busy weekend with family
We had lots of fun having Gram and Grampa here for the weekend. The girls loved their time with them! Tom and I enjoyed dinner out on Friday night, too. It was SO nice! We had an early birthday celebration for Sadie with them Saturday. Sadie saw the candle on her cake and knew just what to do! So cute. She really loves Elmo these days, so Gram and Grampa bought her a book and an Elmo camera. Sadie really likes the new book with all the flaps! Our time flew by too fast!
Sunday evening we had Papa, home from his trip to Florida, and Alex and Emmy for soup and sandwich night. It was so nice to just hang out together but we missed Grammy! Looking forward to her return!

Snowy Saturday
Sadie is modeling some of her new threads :) She was bursting out of all her winter clothes, with what looks like an endless winter still ahead of us. So, here is one of her new outfits we picked up this week at 80% off!!! So cute!
We're digging out of about 4 more inches of snow overnight. So pretty, but so ready for spring!

And the snow just keeps on coming...
I truly cannot remember more snow here, ever! It's incredible! It's above our adult knees in the yard, it looks more like our Crested Butte days! It snowed all day today and it's supposed to continue through the night. We should have the Olympics here...we have more snow! Crazy. Sophie continues to love playing in it, and Sadie thinks she does until she's out there. Then, she's not so impressed :) Sophie did a little sledding in the front yard with Daddy today. He stayed home and had a snow day, too, since it took him 4 HOURS to get home from work the night before (on a drive that is typically 1 hour)! We are thankful that he made it home safely!
The snow is keeping us house bound, but we're managing to keep busy and have fun! It certainly is beautiful to look out the windows and see the amazing, winter landscape.

Not entirely terrible, twos :)
It is so obvious that we're entering a new phase with Sadie...some might call it the terrible twos! But, they're not entirely terrible...just very busy, very active and pretty willful! She's pushing her limits, with me, with her sister and anyone else she can this past week. She's trying to figure this independence thing out. Just how far can I take things? Will "this" get a reaction...OK, then how about "this"? When I hear a squabble between the girls breaking out...it's not always Sophie who is instigating things now!
The photo of Sadie in the snow shows her taking off her mittens, while looking me in the eye as I'm telling her not to!
The shot in the chair demonstrates her personal style...who wants to sit in a chair the "normal" way?
And, the chocolate face...with the mischievous grin...who can resist that face? Oh, my, does she ever LOVE chocolate! She did not nap after eating chocolate cake...wonder why?
