The big walk was today and we went and had great fun doing all the fun activities. We didn't actually "walk" this year, but we enjoyed ourselves! We weren't sure how it would work with Sadie's eating schedule to be out on the 5 mile trek...so we will lace up next year for the walk again! We did succeed in meeting our fundraising goal and we are so excited! We had a couple of corporate matching gifts that pushed us right up to $1500! Thank you so much to everyone that supported Team Cotts and helped us raise $ for such a great cause.
All the Cotts' girls have been sick this past week, but are feeling much better this weekend. We had yucky head colds and they kept us inside most of the week. The nice thing about that was that we were able to witness the beauty of spring outside our windows more each day. It has been the most beautiful spring I can ever remember! The flowering trees have been amazing! What a beautiful world we live in!

Matching outfits
The girls were perfect the entire three hours that we were at the shower. Sophie was the only preschooler there and she was on her very best behavior! I was so proud of both of them.
We have a very low-key weekend, but plan to get out and enjoy the sunny day they have forecast for today! 70s and sunny! Hurray for spring!!!!!!

Time
Ah...time to email, blog, call friends...seemingly a thing of the past! So, if you haven't heard from me in a little while, I apologize! I start tasks but don't finish them. I have thoughts come into my head of things I need to do like pay a bill, sweep the floor, etc and best of intentions to do them but then I am pulled away! It's been a lot busier than I would have thought having two! I always heard as much but I just didn't realize that I wouldn't get anything done! Like now...it's "quiet time" and I am going to Sophie for the THIRD time since she's screaming my name...

Good news!
My brother was able to retrieve files from our old computer! Hurray! He's gotten the taxes off for Tom and says he'll be able to get the photos, too! I am so relieved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's so helpful! What would we do without him! I wish I were able to do the things that he is with computers...but the second best thing is having him for a brother :)
We have Tom's parents here for a visit and we're all enjoying having some extra attention for a few days! Tom and I might even sneak out for an hour or so on our own this evening! Yippee! Now that the taxes aren't lost he's feeling like he needs to celebrate! Sophie is commanding Gram or Grandpa's undivided attention every waking second of her day! She's so happy to have them here! And, Sadie is being her normal content self! She's getting their attention, too, but it's hard to compete with a vocal 3 year old!

Our computer's untimely death
So, I haven't put up an entry all week because on Sunday...my birthday...our computer decided to die an untimely death. Tom had finished the federal taxes and lost all his work...I had not backed up the 200+ photos of Sadie...so needless to say we are very upset about this. My brother is working on retrieving the files and I hope and pray he'll get the photos back for us! I'm just so sad about those. We've had to invest in a new computer and this is my first time using it this morning. Sadie is needing my attention so that's all for now!

Hair cut
Sophie got her first hair cut on Saturday. I did it myself...and I don't recommend doing that if you're at all sentimental or emotional! I love the way it looks now, but at first I was really upset about the change. It's much shorter, but still long. All the baby curl appears to be gone but she still has some body and wave to it. I probably cut between 6-8 inches off after I was done evening it out on my little wiggle worm. Here's a shot of her with her shorter locks!

Growth spurt
Sadie is going through a growth spurt right now and eating more frequently around the clock. I feel like we can actually see her grow each day! She still a very content baby and she's spending more time awake in the mornings.
Sophie has been more prone to tears and outbursts than her normal self lately. Today she's fallen apart several times over nothing. I ran to the store and bank for 30 minutes and she cried the whole time I was gone...not sure how to help her through this transition! I am praying for wisdom and patience. I don't want her to feel insecure about my attention or affection, but I know that this is a normal part of adjusting to baby being home now.

Visitors from Michigan
Uncle Paul and Aunt Heather came for a fun and quick visit this weekend. It was their first look at baby Sadie. They kept asking if she was always like this...meaning so good! She really is a content baby! They both took turns holding Sadie and "getting to know her" and playing with Sophie. Sophie was delighted to have them here and definitely forced them to get their exercise! They weren't able to sit too much with her around!
