Sleep!

Last night was the second night this week that Sadie slept for 8 hours - from 8 pm to 4 am! Hurray!!!! I feel like a new person ;) What a blessing having a big baby is! Thank you, God!

I decided to try a run this morning - for the first time in literally 2.5 years...needless to say it didn't feel good. I got out the door around 6:15 before Tom had to leave for his golf outing. I would run a little, walk a little, run a little more. Eventually it will feel better...but that's definitely going to take awhile! I am very out of shape! I guess 4 months of bed rest will do that to a person.

Hey Steph,
You are NOT out of shape--that's just pushing yourself to another level and using muscles that have been resting --or "doing other important things". It's a good thing Sadie let you sleep for 8 hours or you may have hurt yourself with all of that pushing. You didn't want all of that good sleep go to waste- I bet. Did you see the sun rise, I hope. That can help a lot. Some mornings on the way to the pool I actually say to myself "I would have missed that; good thing I'm awake. How good that Tom is having another outing--coming back to "his girls" is probably his favorite part. Variety is the spice of life--I encouraged Wayne to stay after working at the Ravines early this morning. Actually he called to say that Jeff really needed another "lesson" :0)xxxx0000

You sound wonderful!! I'm so happy for you. As for running...I don't think I ever go for a run without thinking of you and what an amazing runner you are. A long time ago you told me how you start up again, One block on, one block off - it works every time!! Love, Delphine
