Snow, so much snow!

We were officially snowed in this weekend...wasn't it beautiful? It started on Friday when the girls and I were at a friend's house for a playdate. It was snowing so hard and so fast that we ended up spending half the day with our dear friends because the roads had not been plowed at all! We did make it home safely later in the afternoon, but could not get the van up our hill! The plow hadn't made it's way to our neighborhood, so mom had to come and rescue us in her 4-wheel drive!
Tom, Sophie and I spent several hours out in the snow, shoveling and playing on Saturday morning. Sadie started the morning with us outside, but after one too many face plants in the snow she had had enough and wanted to go inside to Grammy's house for some real fun! We took a photo with the giant snowman across the street made by our high school aged neighbors, we dug a snow fort and did a little sledding in the front. There was actually too much snow to sled out back! That's so crazy!
Stay warm friends!
xoxo

My "big" little girl

Sadie is changing so much lately...and giving us a run for our money! She's still not talking a ton but she is definitely expressing herself! She's stubborn, a terrible eater, likes to throw things to see what will happen next, enjoys jumping on things to see if they bounce, will swallow half the tub water if I'll let her, is on again-off again with wanting to potty train. I've snapped a few photos and videos of her on the potty. This one is so priceless!

New blog

I've been working hard to launch a new blog for MOPS in the last month. The address is www.map4mops.blogspot.com. It's an online bible study and forum. The women in our group can post their comments and use the study with our new prayer partner program. I hope that it is a blessing to someone today!

New year and already behind...

So behind in my blogging...it's 2010, half way through January and I'm already behind :) Oh well! The first half of January has been busy, snowy and full of planning for MOPS. We have a few additional events in the next month and we're busy getting things up and running for our wonderful group of mommies.

Last weekend, Tom and I had a fun afternoon taking Sophie to COSI. It was a reward activity for her. It's still amazing how well she responds to charts. It's incredible and I kick myself for not taking so long to remember this about her! When things start to slide and we need to get things back in check...CHART! She had made it three weeks in a row with enough sticker on her chart to earn her a trip to COSI! Doing it without Sadie made it even more or a reward, or so she thought. As we ended our time there together, she said, "Next time I want to have Sadie with us. I miss her." So sweet!

Sadie has also begun to ADORE her big sister. She has finally started calling her something! Her name for Sophie is "Ophie." It's adorable. She will start calling her first thing when she's up in the morning if Sophie isn't up yet, she'll call it crying as we pull away from preschool after we have dropped Sophie off, or if Sophie just leaves the room for the moment. Sophie definitely has an adoring fan club in her little sister.

Life here is good, blessed, full. Tom is working and we are SO thankful. I'm hoping to get back to Life Prints after a busy holiday season!!! Thank you family and friends who supported my new venture!
