Interesting things...

Hello all!
I thought I'd share a few interesting things with you. I just discovered a website today www.etsy.com. Check it out if you have a spare moment (or several hours!) It is a place for artists to list their creations for sale. There's no end to this site. It's absolutely amazing! And, for my artistic friends, I'm thinking this is a great way to sell your lovely things! And, for us shoppers, it's a great place to find unique Christmas gifts!

Another interesting website, www.countryliving.com/halloween. There are so many interesting ideas for the upcoming holiday. My favorite ideas include the pumpkins that have been carved using a linoleum cutter (see "pumkin carving tips")!

Here's an edible goldmine for you, www.myrecipes.com. It takes the recipes from several of my favorite mags and combines them on one website. You can search for a recipe by ingredients and you can store the recipes in your own virtual cookbook! Too cool...now if I could only get up and cook something...I'm so hungry looking at all this food :)

Lastly, I finished a book last week called "The Sunflower" by Richard Paul Evans. It's a very fast read, but enjoyable. A love story with a message about serving others.

All is well here...I'm almost done with week number 1! Hurray!

Wow! You have accomplished many things and mostly in a reclining position.(pretty tricky doing braids lying down) I'm planning to check those sites in the morning--sounds interesting. We stacked one more stack of wood at Bob Pott's house. Yea! and only 2 broken fingernails (with leather gloves) Now we can return the borrowed splitter and Bob is happy! He's finishing a job AND trying to finalize our drawing so that the permit can be obtained. Rain is expected for a couple of days, so we can shop for windows one more time and get those ordered. Fun so far. Love those braids! Judy

Emmy's friend Erica uses etsy to sell some of her jewelry. I like the site because there are a number of people making fun video game related items. Who wouldn't love a Super Mario Brothers quilt?
